The Decani Monastery Relief Fund (DMRF) is a completely non-profit organization. Information regarding the Fund's financial operations may be viewed by going to the following web site: http://www.serfes.org/missionary/charter.htm
All donations made to the DMRF are forwarded as quickly as possible to volunteers in Serbia who immediately use this cash resource to distribute financial and /or material aid to persons in need of assistance throughout the providence of Kosovo and Metohija on behalf of the Decani Monastery. No portion of any donation is used for administrative or overhead costs-100% of every donation is dispersed to aid recipients. Volunteers in Both Serbia and in the USA donate their own funds, as well as their time, to assure that your donations in their entirety are used to address the needs the DMRF exists to alleviate.
The DMRF desires to alleviate those who are constantly in need of food, fuel, shelter, and medical attention, as well as assist the needs of the Serbian Orthodox monasteries and churches through the Providence of Kosovo and Metohija. This fund as well seeks to help the youth and elderly, including the homeless shelters in the same regions.

Thank you most kindly each of you for offering your thoughtful donation to our DMRF, and we assure you of our Christ-loving prayers. What has moved our souls and hearts was the young the five-year boy named Nicholas saved in his piggy bank donations for the children in Kosovo. What a great act of love from this young heart and soul! All of these have now been dispersed to those who need our love and assistance in the regions of Kosovo and Metohija. Each of you have also helped to warm many families with your great Christian love for fire-wood, food, the homeless shelters, and to as well as helping the children and elderly.
A Letter to The Young Nicholas
Dear Nicholas,
May our Lord God always bless you!
The Decani Monastery Relief Fund received a very kind donation from you, and
we would like to say to you thank you!
Our hearts where very moved, and it made our souls happy that you saved up in
your Peggy Bank some money for me to take to Kosovo when I leave the last week
in January and the first week in February 2006, both Bishop Teodosije and I
will give this money you donated to the children we will meet in Kosovo and
Metohija.
How very kind of you to save up your money to give it to the children in
need, as these children now will be blessed by your love and kindness!
Thank you so much Nicholas for caring for the children in Kosovo!
I also want you to know that I will pray for you when I visit Kosovo at the
Deani Monastery!
God always bless you Nicholas, and your family!
Peace to your good soul!
Humbly in Christ our Lord,
+Very Rev. Archimandrite Nektarios Serfes
President of The Decani Monastery Relief Fund USA
Who prays for you!
With the blessings of His Grace, Bishop Aremtije, His Grace, Bishop Teodosije, and my diocesan bishop Metropolitan Isaiah of Denver, I will return back again on behalf of the DMRF to Kosovo and Metohija the last week of January and the first week of February 2006. We will be distributing funds to the greatly suffering and struggles souls throughout the Province.
At the same time we are greatly saddened that His Beatitude, the Archbishop of Ohrid and Metropolitan of Skopje Kyr Jovan continues to remain within the Republic of Macedonia (FROM) in prison, and this past feast day of our Lord's Holy Nativity this Christ-loving Archbishop was denied Holy Communion, and not able to celebrate this great feast day as a bishop. For more information about the Archbishop click here. At the same hour please light a candle for him when you go to church, and remember him in your prayers.
Now we ask you please continue to offer your great Christian love in offering like the young boy Nicholas who saved in his peggy bank to help the children in Kosovo and Metohija, would you too please save within your hearts the consideration to help the DMRF, and we humbly thank you!
At the same time while I am in Kosovo, and will be serving at the Decani Monastery, be assured of my Christ-loving prayers for you all!
Please send your donations to the following:
