Introduction by Father Nektarios Serfes:

This presentation is not only a loving dedication and commemoration of the Royal Child-Martyr Grand Duchess Olga, but also all of her August Martyred Family which took place on July 17, 1918 in Ykaterinburg, Russia.

The Grand Duchess Olga, along with all the members of her August Family were canonized as Passion-bearers on August 20, 2000 in Moscow, Russia at Christ the Saviour Russian Orthodox Church.

Elaine Duncan addressed me that she had written a loving dedication to the Royal Martyr Grand Duchess Olga, one of the five children of the August Martyrs of Tsar Nicholas II and Tsarina Alexandra of Russia, "Last Seconds".

For other web sites on the Royal Martyr Grand Duchess Olga, please visit "The Royal Martyr Grand Duchess Olga" and "Russia's Crown Jewels: The Child-Martyrs".

Thank you humbly Elaine Duncan for this loving dedication to the Royal Child Martyr Grand Duchess Olga, who prays for us all!

Last Seconds
by Elaine Duncan

My name is Olga and I am about to die.

The men stand there, reading that my dearest Papa has not respected the Russian people, and that we are to be executed.

My heart is racing. I do not know what to do. My hands are familiar gesture I bless myself with, praying in my mind for God to take us all to His Heavenly Kingdom safely and for this ordeal to be not painful, and to be over quickly.

Papa is shot. Mama, too. They are gone. Alexis, Ana (Anastasia), Tatia (Tatiana), Mashka (Marie), and I screech and cry out with Demidova and the others. Jemmy howls.

We are all embedded with bullets. I am looking straight forward, imagining the faces of the murderers to be dear Christ Our Lord, and the Ever-Virgin Mary, for they will save us and all Russia. In time, God will bless our country again.

The violence must stop.

It does not.

The jewels we had sewn into our corsets and dresses - they make the bullets bounce off. The blood is too much. I cry out again, clutching my little Alexis, Ana, Tatia, Mashka, and I pray.

The guns have stopped, and we are on the ground. Wailing. It was a bad thing for us to do. We should have been quiet.

The rifle butts are brought down. The bayonets are slashed against us. I am shot through the chin. Searing pain, and then the sweet bright loving face of Christ Our Lord Shines His Face upon me and I am lifted, my soul, gone from this world.

The pain was quick, but I see my sisters amongst me. All but Ana.

Then Ana comes, and we are reunited in the Kingdom of Our Lord God.

All is right. We are in His arms now.

Thank you humbly Elaine Duncan for this loving dedication to the Royal Child Martyr Grand Duchess Olga, who prays for us all!
