Introduction by Father Nektarios Serfes:
Thanks be to Our Lord God, and through the prayers of the Royal Imperial Martyrs Tsar Nicholas and Family, two young people were saved recently from a most serious car accident. This also seems to be that the Child Martyr Tsarevich Alexis who prayed with his August Martyred Family for these two victims at the time of their car accident.
In the past I well indicated that miracles would continue onward on behalf of the Royal Imperial Martyrs Tsar Nicholas II and Family long after their Holy Canonization, and thanks to Our God these prayers are constant and are a blessing!
This is not the first time I heard about the Royal Imperial Martyrs Tsar Nicholas II and Family who protected victims from a serious car accident, later onwards I will share with you another such miracle, however in the meantime I would now like to first share this miracle and thanks be to God for all things!
The following miracle happened in Dayton, Tennessee, on 4-7-01, and was sent from Kari Edwards on 4-30-01.Dear Father Demetrios,
I discovered your website regarding the Holy Imperial Martyrs of Russia a week ago, and when I saw it I became so happy that I simply had to contact you. Although I am not sure what it might amount to, I felt I must tell someone about a particular incident in which a Divine intervention seems to be the only plausible solution. About three weeks ago, I was involved in a terrible auto accident during the early morning hours following my Junior Prom. I'm sure that anyone who happened to see the auto, or the road itself for that matter, immediately after the accident, they would have assumed that I had been fatal. The scary thing is, it probably should have been. You are surely wondering what connection this might have with you or your website, so I'll start at the beginning.
My date and I were driving along the highway about 1:30 that morning, heading to a friend's house. We were both exhausted. Just as I was beginning to fall asleep, something told me to open my eyes. We were sliding off the road and toward a large, deep ditch. I quickly grabbed my date's arm, and he jerked the wheel, causing us to spin violently in a series of doughnuts. The auto slowed down, and I closed my eyes. I remember thinking, 'O Lord, I'm going to die!'. And in that instant, right before the car started to flip the first time, a picture appeared in my mind. It was a photo of the Holy Imperial Family, which I had seen on the cover of a book my mother had been reading. But they were illuminated. They shone, and it seemed that the darling little boy (Martyr Tsarevich Alexis) in the corner was the brightest. He stood out to me, and I felt a peace as soon as I saw their faces. Then, the car flipped, my heard was bashed violently against the roof, and I blacked out.
When I came to, I expected to be dead. Later, I would learn from the doctors that it was a miracle I had survived the head injuries, not to mention the roof, which had caved in after I blacked out directly above where my head should have been. To this day, I can't figure out how my head had managed to duck down in the opposite direction in which the car had spun, and while I had been knocked out. The car must have flipped more then once, the police told my parents. Someone saved my life, and my date's. We both escaped the wreck with minor injuries; a wreck which would have taken our lives. It never quite occured to me how very special this had been until I visited my doctor again a few days before finding your webstie. He looked at me and said, 'You must have an Angel in Heaven.' That is when I pieced everthing together. Why else would I have seen such a vision as I had, of people I knew very little about?
This is why your website has been such a comfort to me, I know now that a Miracle can come true. I was in God's hands that morning, and with the silent prayers of those precious Imperial Martyrs, I am here today to tell my story. You are the first that I shared this with, and I thank you so very much for takeing the to read it, Dearest Father. Now, when people tell me, 'Someone is looking out for you,' I can simply reply, 'Yes, thanks be to God.'
